(G)I-DLE AND VERIVERY JOIN THE LINEUP FOR KCON 2019 NEW YORK

Los Angeles, CA - (May 9, 2019) – KCON USA, the world’s largest Korean culture convention and music festival, announced today that girl group (G)I-DLE and boy band VERIVERY will be joining the lineup for KCON 2019 New York this July. The two groups will perform along with previously announced TXT, NU’EST, ATEEZ, SF9, EVERGLOW, AB6IX and IZ*ONE this summer in Manhattan.
KCON, which is held in both New York and Los Angeles, is an annual celebration of every aspect of Korean pop culture and providing fans the most access to the stars. KCON will run on July 6th and 7th at both the Javits Center and Madison Square Garden in New York, NY. The West Coast leg of the convention series will take place August 15th through the 18th at the Los Angeles Convention Center and Staples Center.
Tickets for the KCON NY concerts, which will take place at Madison Square Garden, go on sale on Wednesday, May 22nd at 3PM EDT. Tickets for the convention at the Javits Center go on sale two days later on Friday, May 24 at 3PM EDT. (G)I-DLE is a six-member girl group under Cube Entertainment. The members are Miyeon, Minnie, Soojin, Soyeon, Yuqi, and Shuhua. The group debuted with their first EP I Am and the lead single “Latata” on May 2, 2018. The music video for "Latata" exceeded 5.9 million views within the first week. The EP debuted at number seven and peaked at number five on Billboard's World Albums chart on May 9, 2018. On August 14, the group’s first digital single "Hann (Alone)" was released. Within 24 hours, its music video surpassed 4.9 millions views on YouTube. "Hann" topped domestic music charts including Bugs, Genie and Olleh Music on August 16 and hit a new peak on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart debuting at number two. VERIVERY is a seven-member boy group formed by Jellyfish Entertainment in January 2019. The members are DONGHEON, HOYOUNG, MINCHAN, GYEHYEON, YEONHO, YONGSEUNG, and KANGMIN. VERIVERY is Jellyfish Entertainment’s first boy group in six years since VIXX. Their name comes from the Latin word “VERI” meaning 'Truth' and the English word “VERY.” VERIVERY is a combination of the words Various, Energetic, Real and Innovation. The group starred in their own reality show reality show NOW VERIVERY : Real Road Movie on Mnet prior to debut. The group officially debuted on January 9, 2019 with their first EP VERI-US and title track “Ring Ring Ring.” On April 24, 2019, the group made a comeback with their second EP VERI-ABLE and title track “From Now.”
