Girl group I.O.I, formed by popular audition show Produce 101, has officially debuted through the release of their first mini album Chrysalis and music video for title track Dream Girls.

On May 4, I.O.I released their debut album Chrysalis through online music sites and will begin promotions with title track Dream Girls.
I.O.I’s debut title track Dream Girls is a trap pop dance track co-written by famous producer Famousbro and composer Paul with rap lyrics written by Lim Na Young and Choi Yoo Jung.

Title track Dream Girls tells an encouraging message of going towards your dream and not giving up.

Dream Girls is addictive to the ears, filled with synth sounds and has a vibrant rhythm that listeners enjoy. The song is divided into different sections that bring out the unique charm of each of the members.

The debut album Chrysalis includes 4 new tracks including title Dream Girls, I.O.I (Intro), Knock Knock Knock and Doo-Wap, it also includes I.O.I’s version of 3 tracks Pick Me, Crush and When the Cherry Blossoms Fade. This album can be called the real I.O.I album as members personally decided on tracks and helped produce the album with their various opinions.

Meanwhile, following their debut, I.O.I will begin the showcase of their album on May 4 and the showcase can be seen live through Melon, AZ Talk and 1TheK.
