With Girls’ Generation (SNSD)’s Yuri confirming her appearance for MBC’s Animals, attention has been gathering on whether or not she will rise as a new goddess in the world of variety programs.

An affiliate of MBC revealed on January 13, “With SNSD’s Yuri confirmed for the show, anticipation has been on the rise on Yuri’s upcoming work as the only female member of the show.”

Having received love for her easygoing image and outstanding sense in variety programs, Yuri will be showing a special chemistry with the previously confirmed members, namely Super Junior’s Eunhyuk, g.o.d’s Park Jun Hyung, M.I.B’s Kangnam, basketball player Seo Jang Hoon, songwriter Don Spike, comedian Jang Dong Min, actor Jo Jae Yoon, and Kwak Dong Yeon.

As she is well known to be a girl group member who has keen interest and love for animals, frequently uploading her selfies taken with her pet on Instagram, Yuri is expected to show an unique bond with her animal roommates on Animals.

MBC’s Animals is a self-sustaining community project featuring the stars eating, sleeping, and living, with different animals in nature.

As the highly anticipated project of Kim Hyun Chul PD, who directed MBC’s Tears in Amazon and Je Young Jae PD, who is well known as the hit creator of MBC’s Infinity Challenge, Animals has been gathering interest as the program that combines the elements of a traditional documentary and a variety program.

Animals is set to begin on January 25.
