School uniforms are a rite of passage for most girl groups, and the SISTAR members talked about wearing them for the first time five years after their debut.
SISTAR held a comeback showcase at the COEX Artium in Seoul on June 22 to celebrate the release of third mini album Shake It
and ro perform the new songs for the first time.
After performing Don′t Be Such a Baby
and title track Shake It
, the members sat down for an interview, where they shared episodes from the music video filming.
"It′s been five years since our debut, and we′ve never worn school uniforms, which are considered a gateway for girl groups. In our Shake It
music video, we wore school uniforms for the first time in five years."
Soyou added, "Of course, we put SISTAR′s spin on the uniforms to make it more cool and edgy."
Summer has become synonymous with SISTAR, and as such, the group′s new album Shake It
contains music that matches the girls′ healthy image and will leave listeners feeling refreshed.
Title track Shake It
is produced by hitmakers Duble Sidekick, and is a signature SISTAR summer song. It′s a retro dance track with a strong brass sound, funky groove and catchy hook, highlighting the members′ refreshing vocals. The album consists of a total of five tracks, in addition to Shake It
