TXT Debuts Big On The Billboard Charts With "Crown"

They may have just debuted eight days ago, but TXT is already making their mark on international charts, specifically Billboard's charts! Just today, the group ranked on the "Artist 100," "Top Album Sales," "Digital Album," "Social 50," "Emerging Artists," "Heatseekers," and "Canadian Albums" charts. That's an amazing feat for a group just over a week old.

Their ranking on the charts comes just hours after their "Crown" win on SBS' "The Show," TXT's first-ever music show win. And, the song has 34,189,579 views on YouTube! In fact, when it first was released, the song became the most watched K-Pop debut MV to date. It also had the most likes of any K-Pop MV in 24 hours. It's no wonder the song now ranks #1 on Billboard's "Emerging" artist and "World Album's" charts!

TXT's "World Album" ranking tops their sunbae group BTS' long streak! The group's three "Love Yourself" albums have long claimed, since December 15, the categories' top three slots, and Love Yourself: Answer ranked #1 for a grand twenty-three weeks. The EP is also the first non-BTS album to lead the chart since EXO's album in November. Now that they're at the top of the list, we're curious to see how long they keep their #1 streak.

The rookie group is the fourth K-Pop group to ever top the "Emerging Artist" chart, and follows in the footsteps of past leaders NCT 127, NCT, and BLACKPINK. According to Billboard, they are "just the fifth act to debut at No. 1 on the Emerging Artists chart, joining PVRIS in 2017, and Anderson East, Sheku Kanneh-Mason and BLACKPINK in 2018".

But, their achievements don't end there, they also placed #54 on the "Artist 100" chart. The only other K-Pop group that featured on the list was EXO, who claimed the #93 spot as a re-entry. In addition to that, the group's The Dream Chapter: Star (EP) also charted on Billboard's "Top Album Sales" chart at #26. BTS' two albums Love Yourself: Answer (#80)  and Love Yourself: Tear (#95) also ranked on the list. And if those tremendous accomplishments weren't enough, the group broke a Billboard record! They became the fastest K-Pop group to claim a spot on the "Billboard 200" chart.

Other charts that TXT placed on include the "Digital Album" (#10), "Social 50" (#3) '"Heatseekers" (#2), and "Canadian Albums" (#100) charts.
