[2016 MAMA] Best New Artist Nominees Attract Attention on ′M COUNTDOWN′
The 2016 Mnet Asian Music Awards has gained attention for the nominees in the Best New Artist categories.
The November 17 episode of M COUNTDOWN was a "2016 MAMA Nominee Special." During the episode, the 2016 MAMA Best New Artist nominees were announced, gaining the attention of viewers.
The nominees in the Best New Female Artist category included BLACKPINK, Gugudan, Bolbbalgan4, I.O.I and WJSN. After the nominees were announced, videos of BLACKPINK′s Playing With Fire, Gugudan′s Wonderland, Bolbbalgan4′s Galaxy and WJSN′s Secret were shown.
Additionally, the Best New Male Artist nominees also attracted the attention of fans. Nominees included NCT 127, SF9, ASTRO, KNK and Pentagon. Similarly to the female nominees, videos of NCT 127′s Fire Truck, SF9′s Fanfare, ASTRO′s Breathless, KNK′s Back Again and Pentagon′s Gorilla was played.
